Exciting news!

It is impossible for me to not be able to post about JK Rowling or Harry Potter. I am and have always been a big fan of her work and have been part of that magical world since i was 14 years old.

I almost fell off my chair when it was announced that she would be releasing a new book in September , which would have nothing to do with Harry Potter and his magical world. That this would be her first book aimed at Adults... It would make sense seeing that her readers including myself have all grown up.

It was announced that her new book which is called  The Casual Vacancy   will be released September 27th 2012 in the UK & US. We might have to wait just a little bit longer in here in Johannesburg.

I'm really excited about this and can hardly wait!  I"m hoping that this might turn into a series of books, I'm not ready for J.K Rowling to put her "pen" down just yet.
Are you a J.K Rowling fan too? Are you looking forward to reading  The Casual Vacancy  ?

You play a part !

As part of this blog , I'm really looking forward to many of the follows interacting with each other , suggesting books and writing reviews on books you have read. About books you have loved and thought were completely not worth spending the cash on… I’ve had a few , they still sitting on my shelf waiting to be read.

Do you read books more then once and hold onto them, like I do?  Or  do you “pass them down”  I want to hear all about it.

Looking forward to it!

Winning!

Today I got an email saying that i won a book called Skulduggery Pleasant: The End of the World by Derek Landy an Irish author who has written 6 book in this series. I've never heard of the Author nor of the books. Though the books seemed to be aimed at the younger reader as well as young adults and it is a short story. I love fantasy and it seems it might be something i might enjoy. Winning a book is awesome and i"ll keep you updated once i start reading it.

First things First

SO welcome, to all those who seem to want to hear what i might have to say about books!

For those who know me I love books. I'd rather get books  for my birthday, anniversary , mother's day.. basically if its a day for gifts i want a book.

I'll give you a little bit of background the first book i ever read was when i was 9 years old. I just learnt how to use a library  card and how to use your ruler to place a book back.. well back to it , first book i ever read was The wizard of oz, and i loved it, i remember it being an old book with no pictures and a lot of words all bunched together. Looking back now I'm impressed with myself 9 and no picture book! It didn't take me long to finish the book and i still remember how i had  two weeks to return it and how sad i was when i did.It all started there for me , my love for books..and I'm proud to call myself a book worm.

So on my blog... i'll be writing about books I've read , books I'm excited about reading and I hope that you will enjoy my little reviews even if its just a little something! Please feel free to comment and add your reviews too on certain books.

Looking forward to it.
